Born and raised in Ticino, Silvia Pellegrini has developed a passion for playing the piano since her childhood. It was also thanks to her first teacher at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana, Luigi Corti, that she was able to turn her passion for music into a profession.
In October 2020, she graduated from the Zurich University of the Arts, earning a Master’s in Piano Performance. Two years later, she completed a Master’s in Pedagogy at the same institution.
The professors who have influenced Silvia most along the way, both personally and musically, are Luigi Corti, Adalbert Rötschi and Till Fellner. In addition, the master classes with Prof. Arie Vardi, Alfred Brendel and Maximilian Hornung were very enriching for her and left decisive traces in her musical development.
Silvia loves to perform both solo and in various chamber music formations. She enjoys developing interdisciplinary projects in which music is combined with another art form. The aim of these projects is to tell a story and thus inspire a new audience, especially children and young people, for classical music.
Since August 2022, Silvia has been teaching piano at Musikschule Zürcher Oberland and, from the following year, also at Musikschule Konservatorium Zürich. Silvia is active on several fronts, and everything she undertakes, she does with great enthusiasm, commitment, and professionalism.
